This is a mahogany campaign style desk, characterized by its robust construction and brass hardware, typically designed for portability in military campaigns or travel. The wood exhibits a rich, reddish-brown hue typical of polished mahogany, with visible grain patterns. The overall construction appears solid and sturdy. The most prominent feature is the right-hand side, which consists of four drawers stacked vertically. Each drawer is adorned with distinctive brass hardware: decorative, wavy or 'bat-wing' shaped escutcheons flanking a central recessed pull handle.
