This item is a natural, raw specimen of Blue Kyanite, characterized by its elongated, bladed crystal habit. The specimen measures approximately 1.5 to 2 inches in length and displays a vibrant range of blue hues, from pale sky blue to deep indigo, with characteristic pearly to vitreous luster. Structurally, the crystal exhibits well-defined longitudinal striations and perfect basal cleavage, typical of the aluminosilicate mineral group. Significant white quartz or matrix inclusions are visible at the base and along several edges, providing a sharp color contrast against the blue silicate. As a raw mineral specimen, its condition is natural; there are visible jagged fractures at the terminations, which are expected in unpolished kyanite due to its anisotropic hardness (varying significantly depending on the crystallographic direction).
