Raw Black Tourmaline Crystal

This item is a large, rough specimen of Black Tourmaline, also known as Schorl. Physically, it measures approximately 2 to 3 inches in length, exhibiting a dense, chunky, and irregular trigonal crystal structure. The color is a deep, opaque jet-black with a vitreous to sub-metallic luster that catches the light along its naturally striated faces. A primary distinguishing feature is the presence of vertical striations and ridges running along the length of the crystal, which are characteristic of its growth pattern. One side shows significant white or beige mineral inclusions, possibly feldspar or quartz, which are embedded within the nooks of the raw surface. The condition is raw and unpolished, showing typical 'nibbles' or small chips along the edges which are common for natural specimens. There are no man-made markings or signatures, as this is a natural geological formation. The craftsmanship is entirely nature-driven, showing high-quality crystallization with clear parallelism in the striations. This type of mineral is commonly found in granitic pegmatites and is prized in both mineral collecting and metaphysical circles for its supposed grounding properties.
