Two Metal Ore Nuggets Or Slag Remains

This item consists of two small, irregular, nugget-like objects held together in a patterned cloth or paper towel. The objects appear to be of metallic or mineral origin, possibly raw ore, metallurgical slag, or aged cast metal fragments. They exhibit a dark, charcoal-grey to black base color with significant surface oxidation and crusting. One nugget shows a prominent white powdery residue or efflorescence on its surface, which often indicates the presence of zinc or lead corrosion, or mineral salts. The texture is extremely rough, porous, and pitted, typical of materials that have undergone intense heating or environmental degradation. There are small inclusions of brownish-orange rust-like colors, suggesting iron content. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible. Due to their distressed and irregular shape, these appear to be byproducts of industrial processes or raw geological specimens rather than finished decorative items. Their size is small, approximately 2-3 centimeters in diameter, and they show signs of heavy environmental wear and surface decomposition. The age is difficult to determine, though the level of oxidation suggests they have been exposed to the elements for a considerable period.
