KSP Pottery Company Thatched Cottage Honey Pot or Preserve Jar

This is a whimsical ceramic lidded jar, likely a honey pot or preserve jar, produced by the KSP Pottery Company in England. The item is designed to resemble a charming thatched cottage, exhibiting a cream-colored body for the walls with horizontal bands painted in a warm brown to mimic timber framing. The lid is a focal point, molded and painted to represent a thatched roof, with a radial pattern in varying shades of brown and tan, topped by a small, spherical finial in a solid, lighter tan or caramel color. Integrated into the cottage design are molded details depicting windows with blue frames and panes, and a doorway, possibly in a greenish-blue hue, adding to its picturesque aesthetic. Around the top rim of the body and extending slightly up towards the roof section, there are molded and painted green elements that suggest foliage or climbing vines, enhancing the cottage theme. Two small, ear-shaped handles on opposite sides of the jar also feature these green foliage details.
