This is a traditional-style chiming clock featuring a rectangular wooden case with a warm cherry or mahogany finish. The top is adorned with a decorative 'broken arch' or swan-neck pediment, centered by a small block and flanked by two carved wooden finials. The clock face is set within an ornate square dial plate featuring silver-toned spandrels with scroll patterns at the corners. The dial itself consists of a gold-toned chapter ring with black Roman numerals and elegant filigree-style hands. Two keyholes are visible on the dial, indicating a mechanical wind-up movement for time and strike. The maker's mark 'Howard Miller' is printed clearly at the top of the clock face. Below the dial, a glass pane features gold-toned screen printing with floral corner motifs and an oval window which allows the brass pendulum bob to be seen. The base of the clock features a scalloped apron. The construction appears to be high-quality cabinet work typical of late 20th-century American clock manufacturing. The item is in good cosmetic condition, with uniform wood finish, no visible cracks in the glass, and minor surface oxidation on the brass components consistent with age.
