This item is an earthenware vase or pot, characterized by its squat, bulbous form. It features a wide, circular mouth with an inward-sloping rim and appears to have a slightly flattened base, suggesting stability. The predominant colors are an earthy cream or pale yellow on the upper body, transitioning dramatically to a rich dark green on the lower half. The most distinctive feature is the 'remused' or slip-decorated surface, where an unctuous, thick glaze of a rusty brown or amber color has been heavily applied and allowed to drip down from the upper cream section over the green base. These drips create visually dynamic, organic patterns and streaks, suggesting an intentional artistic effect rather than a defect. There are also horizontal bands or incised lines present on the green lower section, adding textural interest. A small, unglazed or lightly glazed protrusion, possibly a short spout or decorative element, is visible on the upper left side, near the rim. The visible interior of the pot also appears to be glazed in a dark green. The overall impression is one of rustic, possibly studio pottery, highlighting the natural flow and interaction of glazes. The condition appears to be relatively good, with no obvious cracks or chips visible from the given angle, though some minor imperfections in the glazing, such as small bumps or inconsistencies, are inherent to this style of pottery.
