Its dimensions are approximately 46 inches high, 36 inches wide, and 20 inches deep. The piece exhibits heavy proportions and a rich, dark brown finish, characteristic of the American Empire period. It features a total of seven drawers; the top row comprises three smaller, seemingly separate drawers, while the four lower drawers are full-width. Each drawer is fitted with a single, rounded wooden knob, and a small, metal keyhole escutcheon, indicating a locking mechanism. The front legs are columnar in form, tapering slightly towards the bottom, a common design element for the style. The overall condition is good, consistent with its age and use. Visible condition issues include various scratches and nicks on the finish, particularly along the edges and feet.
