This specimen is a raw, unpolished amethyst quartz crystal, approximately 1 to 1.5 inches in length, shown held in a human palm for scale. The crystal exhibits the characteristic hexagonal crystal system of the quartz family with a naturally terminated point. Its color profile is high-quality, displaying a translucent to semi-transparent lilac hue that transitions into a deeper, more saturated royal purple towards the termination (the tip), a common characteristic of high-quality amethyst where color is concentrated at the apex. The surface is naturally rugged with visible conchoidal fracture patterns and growth striations along the prism faces, indicating it was harvested in its natural state rather than being tumbled or cut. There are notable internal inclusions, including veils and feathers, which are typical for natural quartz and add to its unique character. The condition appears to be excellent for a raw specimen; while the edges have the jaggedness inherent to raw minerals, there are no obvious signs of significant post-extraction 'bruising' or large man-made chips on the main termination point. The clarity is moderate, with some cloudiness near the base where it was likely attached to a larger geode or matrix, moving toward greater transparency at the tip.
