This item is a Japanese military currency note, specifically a 50 Sen denomination, issued during or around World War II. The note measures approximately 12.5 cm by 6.5 cm, consistent with typical small-denomination military currency. It is printed on thin, off-white paper and features a dominant blue-green background with a wavy, intricate pattern. The overall design incorporates neoclassical elements within the border, including stylized scrolls and decorative motifs in black and white, reminiscent of early 20th-century bank notes. Prominently centered is a large stylized 'A' in black outline, with the serial number 'A05675043A' printed across its mid-section. The top center of the note clearly states 'MILITARY CURRENCY' in English, with Japanese characters for '50 Sen' (五十銭) above the denomination '50 SEN' in English at the right side.
