This item is a polished gemstone specimen known as Charoite, a rare silicate mineral found exclusively in the Chara River area of the Sakha Republic, Siberia, Russia. The stone is roughly teardrop or flame-shaped with a tapered point, measuring approximately 4-5 centimeters in length. It displays a vibrant, varied color palette ranging from deep royal violet and lavender to streaks of pearly white and subtle hints of sage green or grey. A defining characteristic of this specimen is its complex, swirling fibrous structure, which produces a distinctive chatoyant (shimmering) effect when moved under light. Notable features include dark inclusions and circular, eye-like patterning typical of high-quality Charoite. The construction is naturally solid, having been tumble-polished to a high-gloss finish. Regarding condition, the surface shows minor linear surface fractures and small pits, which are common natural occurrences in this mineral species due to its complex interlocking crystal structure.
