Indian 5 Paise Coin (1987)

This is a standard circulation coin from India with a denomination of 5 Paise, dated 1987. The coin is notable for its distinct quadrangular (square) shape with rounded corners, a design feature typical of small denomination Indian currency from this period. It is composed of aluminum, giving it a lightweight feel and a silvery-grey metallic appearance.
