A striking two-piece decorative porcelain set consisting of a scalloped footed bowl and a matching handled underplate. The set features a deep, high-gloss black cobalt-style glaze heavily ornamented with 24-karat gold leaf transfer and hand-painted accents. The bowl sits atop a flared pedestal base and features two integrated, sleek handles. Its upper rim is dramatically scalloped and trimmed in gold. The exterior of the bowl is decorated with a continuous frieze depicting various Neoclassical Greek mythological figures in seated and standing poses. The matching oval underplate features open-work pierced handles and a scalloped edge. A central medallion on the plate depicts a classical scene, possibly Artemis with a stag, surrounded by a geometric Greek key (Meander) border. The craftsmanship indicates a mid-to-late 20th-century origin, likely produced in the workshops of Spyropoulos or a similar renowned Greek ceramic studio specializing in the 'Handmade in Greece' revival style. The condition appears excellent with minor shelf wear on the bottom of the base and light rubbing to the gilding on the handles, consistent with age and decorative use.
