This is a vintage Mid-Century Modern ceramic vessels, likely a lidded sugar bowl or small decorative urn, displaying a characteristic 'Italian Modern' aesthetic from approximately the 1950s or 1960s. The piece is constructed from white ceramic and features a distinctive sgraffito-style texture consisting of fine, vertical incised lines around the body and lid. The decorative scheme includes alternating horizontal bands of vibrant orange glaze and metallic gold-toned luster. It features two small, gold-tone loop handles and a matching circular lid with a small central knob. The base of the footed pedestal is marked with a handwritten 'ITALY' stamp in black ink. Regarding condition, the piece has sustained significant damage; the pedestal foot is severely broken, with large triangular pieces missing from the base. There is visible wear to the gold luster finish, particularly along the rims, and general surface grime consistent with age and storage.
