Victorian Style Ceramic Wash Pitcher and Basin Set

This is a two-piece decorative ceramic wash set consisting of a large pitcher and a matching wide, shallow basin. The set is crafted from white semi-vitreous porcelain or ironstone, featuring a classic Victorian-era aesthetic. The main decorative motif consists of vibrant, transfer-ware pink cabbage roses with green foliage, prominently displayed on the front of both vessels. The pitcher exhibits a bulbous body with a scalloped, shell-patterned rim and a high-arching 'C' shaped handle that shows traces of gold-leaf gilding, though much of the gilt has worn away. The upper section of the pitcher features embossed swirling patterns, adding texture and depth to the glaze.
