Vintage White Ironstone Wash Pitcher and Basin Set

This is a classic ceramic wash pitcher and basin set, commonly referred to as a washstand set, crafted in a traditional white ironstone or heavy glaze stoneware. The pitcher features a bulbous body with subtle vertical paneling, a wide spout for pouring, and a curved handle integrated into the rear. It is embellished with low-relief floral or foliate embossing around the shoulder and handle base. The matching basin is wide and shallow, featuring a scalloped or gadrooned rim with corresponding embossed decorative motifs. The set is currently used as a decorative vessel for an arrangement of silk flowers, including roses and peonies in shades of cream, blush, and burgundy, accented with decorative glittered wire coils. Regarding condition, there is a visible crack appearing on the front rim of the basin, and the glaze shows signs of age-appropriate wear.
