Spanish Civil War Nationalist Zone Postmarks - 5 CMS 'The Cid' Postage Stamps Block

This item is a corner block of twelve (3x4) Spanish postage stamps issued during the Nationalist period of the Spanish Civil War, roughly circa 1937–1938. Each stamp features a sepia or brown monochromatic lithographic print on cream-colored, perforated paper. The design depicts an equestrian figure representing 'El Cid' (Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar), a legendary Spanish medieval hero, symbolizing historical and nationalistic pride. The text 'ESPAÑA' and the denomination '5 CTS' (Centimos) are clearly visible at the top, while 'CORREOS' is positioned in the lower right. The stamps exhibit standard machine perforations (likely gauge 11) and include the top-right selvage (margin), which is unprinted and slightly irregular at the top edge. The condition appears to be Mint Never Hinged (MNH) or Mint Hinged (MH), as no postal cancellations or ink markings are present on the face. There is minor evidence of paper aging or foxing on the upper margin and some slight creasing, but the perforations remain largely intact. These stamps were produced by the Nationalists in Burgos or Vitoria to provide postal services in areas under their control during the conflict.
