Sweden 1984 Christmas Postage Stamp Block of Four - Winter Birds

This is a block of four uncancelled (mint) Swedish postage stamps from 1984, part of the 'Julpost' (Christmas Mail) series. The stamps feature intricate illustrations of various Nordic winter birds. The top left stamp depicts a Hawfinch (Stenknäck), top right shows a Bohemian Waxwing (Sidensvans), bottom left features a Great Spotted Woodpecker (Större Hackspett), and the bottom right displays a Wood Nuthatch (Nötväcka). Each stamp carries the nomination of 1.60 Swedish Krona (SVERIGE 1.60). The artistic quality is high, showcasing detailed stipple and line engraving techniques typical of classic philatelic design. The credits on the bottom of the stamps identify the artists as Stefan Ullström, with engravers Czeslaw Slania and Lars Sjööblom.
