This is a custom-made, rustic-style bar stool constructed from three substantial cross-sections of solid hardwood logs. The stool features a unique, sculptural design where the base and seat are formed from thick horizontal log 'biscuits,' while the backrest is a vertically oriented slab showcasing a prominent central burl or knot for visual interest. The wood possesses a deep, warm amber to reddish-brown hue across the end-grain surfaces, which have been heavily sealed with a high-gloss epoxy or polyurethane finish to accentuate the tight growth rings. The exterior circumference of the logs retains a rough-hewn, textured bark appearance, providing a stark contrast to the smooth seating surfaces. A black metal support pipe serves as the central stem, connecting the heavy base to the swivel or fixed seat assembly. Construction appears robust and heavy-duty, with the backrest likely joined via a mortise and tenon or heavy steel brackets hidden from view. There is a small attached side-rest or arm flourish on the right side. Condition appears good with some minor surface scuffs on the high-gloss finish, typical for handmade cabin-style furniture produced within the last 20 years.
