This specimen is a large, palm-sized river rock, likely a variety of chalcedony or agate with significant mineral inclusions. Physically, it measures approximately 3 to 4 inches in width, exhibiting a sub-triangular or heart-like shape with rounded, water-worn edges. The primary material is a translucent white to creamy-yellow quartz/chalcedony base. It features striking dendritic and moss-like inclusions in shades of deep mustard yellow, russet orange, and dark charcoal grey, which are characteristic of iron and manganese oxides. The surface shows evidence of a high-luster polish, likely achieved through mechanical tumbling or lapidary hand-polishing, which highlights the internal depth and translucency of the stone. Notable features include a prominent 'V' shaped indentation or fracture at the top, which appears to be a natural cleavage or break that has been smoothed over. There are visible surface pits and small vugs where crystals may have once formed. The condition is generally excellent as a decorative mineral specimen, with a natural patina typical of river-bed gestation. There are no maker's marks, as this is a natural geological object.
