Below the crown, a decorative pierced frieze with star or cross motifs encircles the upper rim. The six green slag glass panels exhibit a rich, swirled 'slag' or end-of-day opacity typical of mid-20th-century production. The metal surface shows extensive surface oxidation and a thick orange-red rusted patina across all exposed iron elements, including the heavy link chain. Despite the heavy surface rust, the structural integrity appears sound with no visible cracks to the glass panels. The fixture retains its internal socket housing and electrical wiring, though the wiring appears aged and likely requires replacement for safety.
