The main body is spherical and features a two-tone dip glaze technique; the upper portion is covered in a deep, lustrous Tenmoku-style black or dark brown glaze that exhibits significant 'oil spot' or crystalline variations, while the lower portion reveals a warm, earthy sienna or rust-colored slip. There appears to be a stylized, relief-carved face or abstract mask-like feature on one side of the globe, adding a unique figurative element. The lid is conical with a matching dark glaze on the finial tip, tapering down into the earthenware tone. The overall silhouette is reminiscent of mid-century modern ceramic design, likely dating from the 1960s to 1980s.
