This is a vintage vertical triple-dial weather station manufactured by Springfield. The piece is constructed from a solid wood frame, likely oak or walnut given the grain, with a dark honey-toned finish. It features three distinct square brass-toned instruments arranged vertically: a thermometer at the top (measuring 0 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit), a central aneroid barometer with weather indicators like 'Stormy', 'Changeable', and 'Fair', and a hygrometer at the bottom (measuring relative humidity from 0 to 100%). Each dial face is finished in a metallic gold tone with black numerals and features a distinctive decorative starburst or compass rose motif in the center. The wooden frame is accented by eight L-shaped and T-shaped brass brackets secured with flat-head screws, giving it a 'nautical' or 'campaign' style aesthetic common in the mid-to-late 20th century (circa 1960s-1970s).
