This is a 1921 High Relief Peace Silver Dollar, the first year of issue for this iconic American series. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, measuring approximately 38.1mm in diameter with a weight of 26.73 grams. This specific 1921 issue is highly sought after by collectors because it was struck in High Relief as originally designed by Anthony de Francisci, featuring a much deeper concave field and a more sculptural profile of Lady Liberty compared to the flattened 'Low Relief' designs issued from 1922 onward. The obverse displays Liberty with a radiate crown, styled after the Statue of Liberty's spikes, with her hair flowing back. The word 'LIBERTY' is arched above her, with 'IN GOD WE TRVST' (using the Latin 'V' for 'U') flanking her neck, and the date '1921' centered below. The coin appears to be in a circulated condition, showing visible wear on the high points of Liberty\'s hair and crown.
