Large Thai Teak Wood High-Relief Carved Wall Plaque of a Floating Market

The carving depicts an exceptionally detailed village scene of a traditional Southeast Asian floating market and riverside life. The composition features numerous human figures engaged in trade, navigating longtail boats and sampans loaded with produce, and interacting within stilted wooden houses under a canopy of palm and banyan trees. The craftsmanship is of high quality, demonstrating significant depth and layered perspective that gives the scene a three-dimensional quality. The natural wood finish is warm with a honey-toned patina, highlighting the fine textures of the thatched roofs, foliage, and ripples in the water.
