Kuwait One Dinar Banknote (Fourth Issue)

This is a Central Bank of Kuwait One Dinar banknote, belonging to the Fourth Issue, which was released in 1991 following the liberation of Kuwait. The note features a predominantly green, pink, and yellow color palette with intricate geometric micro-printing and guilloche patterns typical of high-security currency. The obverse side prominently displays the Kuwaiti Coat of Arms on the right, which consists of a falcon (hawk of Quraish) and a dhow (traditional sailing vessel). To the left, there is a large circular watermark area. Notable architectural features on this side include a depiction of the Kuwait National Museum and traditional Islamic arched motifs. The serial numbers are printed in Arabic numerals in both red and black ink. Two signatures from the Governor of the Central Bank and the Minister of Finance are visible at the bottom center. The paper appears to be in relatively crisp condition with sharp corners, suggesting a high grade, possibly Uncirculated (UNC) or About Uncirculated (AU), as there are no obvious vertical folds or heavy staining visible in the image. This series is historically significant as it replaced the Iraqi occupation currency and signaled the restoration of the Kuwaiti financial system. The craftsmanship reflects the high standards of international security printing common in the late 20th century.
