This is a vintage passenger-side door assembly removed from a first-generation Ford Mustang, likely dating from 1965 to 1966. The door is constructed of heavy-gauge steel and currently features a matte or faded black primer/paint finish. It retains several original components including the 'standard' style door handle with push-button operation, a round chrome side-view mirror, a door lock cylinder, and the vent window assembly with chrome framing and functional weatherstripping remnants. The door panel is seen in the background, showing heavily worn black vinyl and exposed yellow foam padding. Physically, the item shows significant signs of age and neglect; there are numerous surface scratches, gouges, and several paint chips revealing a yellowish-tan color underneath. Notable oxidation and surface rust are present where the paint has failed, particularly on the lower leading edge. The window glass appears intact but shows water spotting. The interior mechanisms for the handle and latch are present, though their functionality is unknown.
