This is a small decorative porcelain bowl, likely of Japanese origin and dating from the early to mid-20th century. The piece features a highly textured, scalloped rim with an embossed basketweave or rope-twist border finished in a pale celadon or light blue glaze. The interior well is decorated with hand-painted floral motifs consisting of small clusters of pink, purple, and yellow flowers with green foliage. A central circular medallion provides a focal point, composed of a thin gold ribbon or ring accented with black segments and flanked by floral sprays. In terms of condition, there is significant yellowing and localized staining to the central cream-colored basin, suggesting moisture penetration or organic residue under the glaze. There are also visible dark pockmarks (firing flaws) and some slight wear to the gold gilding on the central ring.
