Vintage Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Fish-Shaped Wine Bottle

This is a vintage Figural 'Fish' wine bottle produced for Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine wine. The bottle is constructed from pale translucent green glass, featuring a distinct molded-scale texture across the main body to simulate fish scales. The neck of the bottle is capped with a solid forest-green plastic or ceramic head attachment that forms the fish's face and open mouth, through which a traditional cork stopper is inserted. Based on the accompanying measuring stick, the bottle stands approximately 31-32 centimeters in height. The base is flared and features vertical fluting to suggest a tail fin or stable pedestal. The paper label is largely intact, bearing the 'MM' monogram within a decorative crest and clearly stating 'MUSCADET de Sèvre et Maine' along with the 'Appellation Contrôlée' designation. The labels show minor yellowing and edge wear consistent with age, likely dating from the mid-to-late 20th century (circa 1960s-1980s). The glass appears free of major cracks, though typical shelf wear is visible on the bottom rim.
