The vase is shaped in a classic fluted trumpet or cornet form, resting on a distinct three-footed (tripod) scrolled clear glass base that provides elegant elevation. The decorative program is highly complex, utilizing a 'cut-to-clear' technique where the outer ruby layer is expertly ground away to reveal the transparent crystal beneath. This creates a striking high-contrast pattern consisting of diamond-hatched 'cane' or 'criss-cross' motifs within large teardrop-shaped panels.
