This is a pair of vintage anthropomorphic flying pig salt and pepper shakers, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The figurines are crafted from glazed ceramic with a white base glaze and hand-painted details. Each pig features a rounded, seated body with black-tipped hooves and a joyous expression characterized by large blue eyes with long eyelashes and a bright red smile. A unique feature is the presence of small, textured blue wings on their backs and black floppy ears decorated with white polka dots. The sides of the shakers are adorned with colorful floral or scroll-like motifs in red, yellow, and green. In terms of condition, there is a visible chip on the black ear of the right-hand pig and fine crazing consistent with age throughout the glaze. The shakers feature different hole counts on the top for salt and pepper dispensing.
