The dominant color is the classic Wedgwood 'oriental blue' with white applied 'sprigged' decoration, a hallmark of Jasperware. One plate, however, stands out with a sage green background, also adorned with white sprigged motifs. The white relief decorations are varied: one small blue plate depicts a classical female figure, another blue plate features a sailing ship or folly within a classical border, and a blue saucer shows two facing busts (possibly classical figures, muses, or allegorical representations) beneath an emblem, framed by laurel branches. The largest blue plate has multiple classical scenes or figures around its edge. The teacup and vase also display continuous friezes of white classical figures or foliage. The items range in size, with the largest plate measuring 6 inches across, the smallest 4 inches across, and the vase standing 5.5 inches high. All pieces are marked with 'WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND' on their bottoms, indicating production after 1891. The condition is generally good, exhibiting minor dirt and typical wear consistent with age and handling. There are no immediately visible chips, cracks, or repairs, suggesting careful use. The craftsmanship is high, as expected from Wedgwood, characterized by the precise application of the white relief and the consistent quality of the stoneware body. The neoclassical style, with its classical figures and motifs, is a defining characteristic of Wedgwood Jasperware, dating back to the late 18th century, but with this 'MADE IN ENGLAND' mark, these pieces are likely from the late 19th or early 20th century.
