This is a collection of several vintage fired clay bricks, appearing to be of common rectangular dimensions (approx. 8 x 4 x 2.25 inches). The bricks are characterized by a deep reddish-orange or terracotta earth tone with significant surface texture consistent with historic masonry. A notable feature is the rectangular recessed 'frog' on the face of the bricks, which contains the embossed capital lettering 'MEXICO'. These markings serve as a maker's mark or origin stamp, common in high-quality architectural salvage. The material is a coarse, porous ceramic/clay body featuring small mineral inclusions and aggregate. The condition is heavily weathered, showing significant signs of age and prior use including chipped corners, surface pitting, mortar residue, and structural cracking on some units.
