O.P.CO. Syracuse China Flowered Porcelain Teapot

This is a vintage vitreous china teapot manufactured by the Onondaga Pottery Company (O.P.CO.), which later became commonly known as Syracuse China. The piece features a high-fire white translucent body with a smooth, glossy glaze. Its design is characterized by a globular, squat bulbous form resting on a short, flared pedestal foot. The exterior is decorated with polychrome floral transfers featuring pink blossoms, green foliage, and brown stems in an Eastern-influenced aesthetic. A distinctive Greek key or fretwork border in a deep olive or brown tone encircles the rim of the body and the lid, accented by a thin gold or metallic line. The teapot features a curved spout and an ergonomic loop handle. The lid includes a simple arched finial. Based on the O.P.CO. marking, this piece likely dates from the late 19th century to the mid-20th century. The item appears to be in excellent condition with no visible cracks, chips, or crazing, maintaining a bright white finish and vibrant transfer colors.
