Oneida Community Rosebud Pattern Silverplate Teaspoons

A set of three vintage teaspoons featuring the 'Rosebud' pattern, originally introduced by Oneida Community in 1948. These pieces represent the classic Mid-Century floral flatware style, characterized by a highly detailed relief carving of rose blossoms and foliage at the base of the handle. The handles are flared at the terminal, featuring a cluster of roses that tapers into a slender, plain neck. The construction is silver-plated base metal, likely nickel silver. On the reverse of the handles, one can expect to find the mark 'Community' or 'Oneida Community,' though it is not visible in this angle. The spoons measure approximately 6 inches in length. Regarding condition, the items show a significant amount of tarnish and oxidation, which has created a dark, mottled patina across the handles and portions of the bowls. There is visible wear to the silver plating, particularly on the edges of the bowls, a common issue known as 'bleeding' where the base metal begins to show through. Minor surface scratches and light pitting consistent with age and frequent use are present. Despite the surface wear, the structural integrity remains sound and the casting of the floral details remains crisp and aesthetically pleasing.
