It is heavily ornamented with white brass (nickle silver) or silver-toned metal hardware, including cloud-shaped hinges, bat-shaped 'bok' luck symbols, and decorative corner guards. The front panel features a top-opening lid with a central hasp designed to accommodate a padlock, alongside several rows of decorative circular tacks and engraved metal plates. The base rests on a scalloped apron with integrated bracket feet. Notable features include the intricate engraving on the metal components, which appear to be stamped for mass production but mimic manual craftsmanship.
