Jamaica 1956 Queen Elizabeth II 8d Stamp - Blue Mountain Peak

This is a used British Commonwealth postage stamp from Jamaica, issued during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II in 1956. The stamp featured a horizontal rectangular format with a bi-color design consisting of an orange-red frame and a blue central vignette. The central image depicts the Blue Mountain Peak, with the text 'BLUE MOUNTAIN PEAK' printed at the bottom of the vignette. The right side of the stamp includes a circular portrait of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a crown. The denomination '8d' (eight pence) is located in the bottom right corner, and the word 'JAMAICA' is prominently displayed at the top left. The stamp is perforated on all four sides. Regarding condition, the stamp is 'used' as evidenced by a heavy black horizontal barred cancellation mark that obscures much of the right and central imagery.
