Vintage GAF View-Master Reel Packets: Puss in Boots and Flipper

This lot consists of two vintage View-Master storybook packets produced by GAF. The first packet is 'Puss in Boots' and the second is 'Flipper,' featuring the iconic dolphin. Each packet is constructed of a square cardstock sleeve measuring approximately 4.5 by 4.5 inches. The cover of 'Puss in Boots' shows a 3D-style puppet illustration common in mid-century children's media, while the 'Flipper' cover features a photographic-style image of the dolphin character from the 1960s television series. Both items prominently display the red GAF circle logo and indicate they contain '21 View-Master Stereo Pictures' across three reels along with a story booklet. The typography is indicative of the late 1960s to early 1970s. In terms of condition, both packets show significant signs of wear and age. The edges of the paper sleeves are noticeably frayed and scuffed, with visible creasing across the face of the 'Flipper' packet. The white borders have yellowed over time, consistent with age-related oxidation of the paper fibers. Some surface dirt and light staining are visible on the 'Puss in Boots' cover. There are likely small tears at the envelope openings from repeated use.
