Royal Doulton Bunnykins Cereal Bowl and Plate Set

This set consists of a ceramic cereal bowl and coordinating plate from the iconic Royal Doulton 'Bunnykins' nurseryware line. The items are crafted from fine bone china or high-quality earthenware, featuring a creamy off-white high-gloss glaze. The primary decorative motif consists of a continuous running rabbit border along the rims of both the plate and the interior lip of the bowl. The center of the bowl displays a detailed narrative illustration of a family of anthropomorphic rabbits in a domestic kitchen setting, characteristic of the artwork originally designed by Sister Mary Barbara Bailey in the 1930s. The illustration shows vibrant colors including blue, red, green, and brown. Condition-wise, the pieces show evidence of use with light surface scratching and minor peppering in the glaze. There are also visible dark spot stains or minor chips along the lower edge of the plate's bunny border.
