This is a handmade wall-mounted rack or coat hanger featuring a rustic Western aesthetic. The piece is constructed from two thick, horizontally aligned planks of aged, reclaimed wood with a deeply textured grain, visible knots, and a weathered brown patina. Decorative elements are applied across the surface using various metal and organic materials. At the top center is a cast iron horseshoe backed with animal hide; on either side are stylized decorative metal hooks resembling cowboy boots and stirrups. The lower half features a large, custom-fabricated iron hook assembly with three twisted-metal hooks. This assembly is accented by a central silver-toned Texas Star, wrought iron scrollwork, and a natural hemp rope border. The craftsmanship is typical of modern artisan folk art, likely from the early 21st century. The wood shows natural cracking and surface variations consistent with its reclaimed nature, while the metal hardware appears intentionally distressed to mimic an antique finish.
