Based on the graphic design and typography, it likely dates to the late 1940s or early 1950s. The kaleidoscope is housed in its original cardboard display box, which features a prominent red, yellow, and blue color scheme with mid-century modern illustrations of geometric kaleidoscopic patterns. The side of the box clearly displays the manufacturer's name and the 'Steven' logo in a stylized ribbon font. Regarding physical condition, the box shows significant signs of age and wear. Notable condition issues include heavy scuffing and paper loss on the top panel, several structural creases, corner blunting, and visible staining from moisture or dirt.
