Noritake Windsor 4182 Demitasse Cup and Saucer

This is a fine porcelain demitasse cup and saucer set featuring the 'Windsor' pattern (model number 4182) produced by Noritake. The set is characterized by a sophisticated white translucent bone china base, decorated with a cobalt blue verge and rim border. This blue band is further accented by intricate gold-encrusted scrolling and delicate floral polychrome transfers in shades of pink, yellow, and green. The cup features a tall, slightly tapered cylindrical body with a distinctive geometric, angular handle fully gilded in bright gold. A thin gold pinstripe encircles the lower third of the cup, while heavy gold gilding adorns the rims of both the cup and the saucer. The saucer mirrors the decorative motif of the cup with a wide cobalt outer band containing floral cartouches. The construction reflects mid-20th-century craftsmanship, likely dating from the 1940s to 1950s. The glaze appears bright and reflective, showing high-quality production standards.
