This is an antique automotive license plate from the state of Wisconsin, specifically issued for the year 1926. The plate is constructed of embossed heavy-gauge steel with a rectangular profile. It features the registration number 'B 6033' in raised, sans-serif numerals and letters. On the far left, the year '26' is vertically stacked, while on the far right, the state abbreviation 'WIS' is vertically arranged. The physical condition reflects significant age and exposure; there is an overall dark brown patina consisting of surface oxidation and rusted areas. The original paint, which was historically black characters on a brown background for that specific year, shows heavy chipping and loss, particularly on the raised digits. There are four mounting holes: two oval slots at the top and two circular holes at the bottom corners. Visible wear includes scuffing, edge oxidation, and a varied texture typical of authentic early 20th-century metal signs.
