This is a high-quality reproduction of a Colonial-era secretary desk, likely manufactured by Kittinger as part of their Williamsburg Restoration collection during the mid-to-late 20th century. The piece features a two-part construction: a top hutch with a double-broken arch pediment and central flame finial, and a base consisting of a slant-front desk over three graduated drawers. The cabinet doors open to reveal an interior fitted with scalloped pigeonholes and small adjustable shelves, while the desk interior contains a complex arrangement of cubbies and small drawers with a central door. The wood appears to be primary high-grade mahogany or cherry with inset bird's-eye maple or flame birch panels on the doors and drawer fronts, creating a beautiful two-toned aesthetic.
