The most striking characteristic of the base is the central figure of a classical putto (cherub or cupid) sculpted in full relief, appearing to hold the tabletop aloft. The putto is depicted with flowing drapery and is surrounded by intricate scrollwork and foliate motifs, resembling tree branches or naturalistic elements, which contribute to the table's decorative and almost whimsical aesthetic. The base terminates in a robust, quatrefoil-shaped platform supported by four scrolled feet, each also adorned with rococo-inspired curvilinear details and floral accents.
