This is a classic 'Napoleon Hat' style mantel clock, likely dating from the early to mid-20th century (circa 1920s-1940s). The case is constructed from solid oak with a visible prominent vertical grain and a dark, warm honey-toned finish. The silhouette features the characteristic arched top and flared base reminiscent of the French Emperor's bicorne hat. It features an ornate beaded molding along the lower plinth and a decorative oval cartouche below the dial face. The clock face is silvered metal with black Arabic numerals and elegant spade-style hands, protected by a convex glass crystal set in a brass-colored metal bezel.
