This is a five-piece set of ceramic wedge-shaped dishes, originally designed to fit into a circular frame or base to create a rotating Lazy Susan serving set. Produced by Vern Santa Anita Ware in California during the mid-20th century (circa 1950s-1960s), these pieces showcase the iconic 'California Pottery' aesthetic. Each dish is constructed from a heavy ceramic body with a distinctive brush-stroke or streaked glaze. The glaze features a cream or off-white base color with horizontal, hand-painted brown ochre streaks creating a rustic, wood-grain or textured appearance. Each wedge is approximately 1.5 to 2 inches deep with slightly flared vertical walls. The craftsmanship reflects typical Mid-Century mass-produced artisanal pottery with a high-gloss finish. Regarding condition, several pieces display small chips along the sharp edges of the ceramic body, particularly visible on the outer rims. There is noticeable surface staining or discoloration (light brown spots) on the interior glazed surfaces that may be due to age or previous organic contact. Modern adhesive thrift store labels are present on several surfaces. The pieces do not show visible maker's marks on the top surface, though Santa Anita Ware typically impressed marks into the base. This set is missing the central circular dish and the rotating base, which were standard components of the complete assembly.
