Raw Blue Kyanite Crystal Blade

This item is a natural, raw specimen of Blue Kyanite, characterized by its elongated, bladed crystal habit. The specimen measures approximately 1.5 to 2 inches in length and displays a vibrant range of blue hues, from pale sky blue to deep indigo, with characteristic pearly to vitreous luster. Structurally, the crystal exhibits well-defined longitudinal striations and perfect basal cleavage, typical of the aluminosilicate mineral group. Significant white quartz or matrix inclusions are visible at the base and along several edges, providing a sharp color contrast against the blue silicate. As a raw mineral specimen, its condition is natural; there are visible jagged fractures at the terminations, which are expected in unpolished kyanite due to its anisotropic hardness (varying significantly depending on the crystallographic direction). No synthetic treatments or dyes are immediately apparent. The craftsmanship is entirely geological, showcasing high-quality natural crystallization with no evidence of lapidary modification.
