This item is an oval-shaped, frosted pink glass piece featuring a stylized recumbent or 'sleeping' cat figurine as a central handle. The glass is finished with an acid-etched or sandblasted matte texture, creating a soft 'satin' or frosted effect characteristic of mid-20th-century decorative glassware. The pink color is a soft, warm pastel shade often referred to as 'rosalene' or 'satin pink.' Based on its oval base and stepped rim, this likely served as the lid to a vanity box, powder jar, or covered trinket dish. The cat is rendered in a minimalist, Art Deco-inspired style with smooth, rounded contours and no sharp features. While no maker's mark is visible in the photograph, the style is highly reminiscent of pieces produced by the Fenton Art Glass Company or the Westmoreland Glass Company during the mid-to-late 20th century (circa 1950s–1970s).
