This is a United States military distinctive unit insignia (DUI) for the 1st Aviation Brigade. Constucted from struck metal with enamel work, the badge features a circular blue field with a gold bordering edge. Central to the imagery is a stylized golden eagle in flight above a small gold landscape, representing the unit's aerial mission. Below the circular design is a gold-toned scroll bearing the Latin motto 'VINCIT QUI PRIMUM GERIT', which translates to 'He conquers who gets there first.' The pin appears to be roughly 1 inch to 1.25 inches in height.
